Homework

You will be more successful in school when you regularly and carefully do your homework. Homework builds responsibility and time management skills. Homework provides you with an opportunity to review, practice, and extend your learning.

Your responsibilities regarding homework are to:

    • understand the purpose and details of the assignment

    • know how assignments will be marked

    • know the due date

    • record all assigned homework

    • accept responsibility for homework and complete it on time

    • set a good time and place to do homework

    • make sure that you have all the materials you need at home to do your work

    • make sure that your parent/guardian signs your agenda every evening.

Ask your teacher for clarification if you do not understand an assignment.

The times indicated are average suggested times that homework should be supported. Even if there is no formal homework assigned by the teacher, these times should be set aside for reading, review, or individual study.
